Scared To Tell You

I'm scared of not missing you anymore, I'm scared to live that day. I'm scared my mind will erase the memory of the day you went away. I put a lot of trust in you, you said that you were different. Your intellect was beyond the hood, but I guess not far enough to miss it. I guess I should've told you that I'm really sensitive, though I try to act like I don't mind, that night I still relive. I'm ashamed because I know I love you way more than you like me, and that I cry for you when you're not here so much that I can't see. This headache just won't go away its been here since you left. Though loud yet meek, though screaming yet bleak, this loss truly feels like death. I pray you don't feel these words are a stretch because we've shared limited time, or that I'm completely insane for tatting your name, assuring I've lost my mind. Well the truth is that you are for me, and I've known it since we met. Yeah we fought, loved, br...

How to Overcome Failure

How to Overcome Failure Expect mistakes : Life's hard knocks are as common as life's success knocks. To expect the process of living to always be smooth sailing is to invite a lack of realism into your life. It happens to the best of us. Failure helps to create balance in your life and presents an opportunity for personal growth. Accepting the inevitability that things won't always go your way is an important part of avoiding becoming bitter and twisted, or of preventing yourself from simply resting on your laurels and never pushing further to realize your full potential. Learn to love finding out that you're wrong about something. That's not failure; it's enlightenment and the path to finding the right way. Control perfectionism if this behavioral trait is holding you back in life. Perfectionism causes us to fear failure and to feel we're personally a failure when we're faced with it. Seeking to always be perfect sows our own seeds...

LIFE

LIFE “ Life is an opportunity, benefit from it. Life is beauty, admire it. Life is a dream, realize it. Life is a challenge, meet it. Life is a duty, complete it. Life is a game, play it. Life is a promise, fulfill it. Life is sorrow, overcome it. Life is a song, sing it. Life is a struggle, accept it. Life is a tragedy, confront it. Life is an adventure, dare it. Life is luck, make it. Life is too precious, do not destroy it. Life is life, fight for it. ” ― Mother Teresa

Sand and Stone

Two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: “TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.” They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: “TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.” The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, “After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?” The other friend replied: “When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.” LEARN TO WRIT...

Ways to Change Your Life at Any Age

Things can change if you want them to, at any age.  As I awoke this morning, I marveled at my life today.  Where once I woke with dread at the thought of a new day, now I wake with excitement to begin – grateful to be doing what I’m doing for a living.  I am so happy I did what I had to do, and struggled through the tough times and the fears, and realigned my life with the things that make me happy.  When friends ask me how I did it, as they sometimes do, I tell them, “Hard work and persistence.  It’s a small price to pay for a changed life.” Here are ten things you can do to change your life at any age: Subtract the wrong things. – When things aren’t adding up in your life, it’s time to start subtracting.  Sometimes you must let go to grow.  You cannot discover new oceans unless you build up enough courage to lose sight of the old, familiar shoreline.  Be brave.  Follow your values.  Make changes.  And remember,...

Quotes to Help You Get Things Done

Just because you are struggling does NOT mean you are failing.  Every great success requires some kind of struggle to get there. It doesn’t matter if you’ve failed or if you’ve been beaten.  All that matters is that you learn something, get back up, and try again.  Because winning is a good feeling, but winning when nobody else thought you could is an awesome feeling. Stop beating yourself up.  You are a work in progress; which means you get there a little at a time, not all at once.  ‘Finished last’ will always be better than ‘Did not finish’, which always trumps ‘Did not start.’ Don’t think too much, or you’ll create a problem that wasn’t even there in the first place. Thinking too long about doing something is often the reason it never gets done. If you truly want to change your life, you must first change your mind. Most great things in your life won’t happen by chance, they will happen by choice. Do not wait until the conditions are perfect...

Some Short Love Thought's

Today, my 75-year-old grandpa who has been blind from cataracts for almost 15 years said to me, “Your grandma is just the most beautiful thing, isn’t she?” I paused for a second and said, “Yes she is. I bet you miss seeing that beauty on a daily basis.” “Sweety,” my grandpa said, “I still see her beauty every day. In fact, I see it more now than I used to when we were young.” Today, I walked my daughter down the aisle. Ten years ago I pulled a 14 year old boy out of his mom’s fire-engulfed SUV after a serious accident. Doctors initially said he would never walk again. My daughter came with me several times to visit him at the hospital. Then she started going on her own. Today, seeing him defy the odds and smile widely, standing on his own two feet at the altar as he placed a ring on my daughter’s finger. Today, I walked up to the door of my office (I’m a florist) at 7AM to find a uniformed Army soldier standing out front waiting. He was on his way to the airport to g...
